Old Ophelia
she's gone deaf
stopped feeding herself
with poisoned words
Old Ophelia
she's mute
stopped spreading her blood
for those who needed her hurt
Old Ophelia
she's gone
sweeped away down the river
sinked amongst the flowers
her killers threw over her
to blind our eyes before their sins
But for the new Ophelia
she's free
left flowers, words, killers
be dragged down to the falls
Young Ophelia
she's new-born
out of the river
wandering through silent fields
looking after her swan
